Great Food, Great Golf, Great Cause

Hautes Plaines

It’s back! The best catered golf tournament in Ottawa, the Five Diamond Charity Golf Tournament in support of The Canadian AIDS Society will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. This will be the sixth year that you can join pharmaceutical representatives, health care professionals, business people from top Canadian companies, hospitality industry representatives, politicians from all levels of government, meeting planners, staff from charitable foundations, AIDS Service Organizations and others for a fun day of golf and food at the Hautes Plaines Golf Club.

Registered as a charity since 1988, the Canadian AIDS Society (CAS) is a national coalition of over 100 community-based AIDS organizations across Canada. CAS is dedicated to strengthening the response to HIV/AIDS across all sectors of society, and to enriching the lives of people and communities living with HIV/AIDS. The sixth annual charity golf tournament in support of the Canadian AIDS Society is designed to ensure everyone has the greatest opportunity to meet, greet, and play.

Once Again, this year's tournament will take place at Club de golf Hautes Plaines. Only 10 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Club de golf Hautes Plaines has the most exciting topography of any club in the National Capital Region. The course climbs up and down, offering an array of elevated tee shots and arresting views. From the sixth tee, golfers can see the entire city of Ottawa. Built in 1983 and redesigned by acclaimed Montreal architect Graham Cooke, the tree-lined fairways and numerous bunkers challenge players to think strategically and take risks.

Beginners and experts alike are invited to join us on Tuesday August 25, 2015 for this fun, best-ball tournament. Registration opens at 8:00am with a shotgun start at 9:00am. During the day, sponsored holes will have interactive activities designed to promote the sponsor and entertain the golfers. As the players come off the course they will be treated to a dynamic après-golf reception and prize presentation with special catering provided by the three sponsor hotels.

To create a truly remarkable event for the golfers and sponsors, the après-golf reception will offer a number of food and drink stations with a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres and food samplers showcasing the amazing culinary teams of the three hotels. The reception will encourage mingling and networking amongst golfers and sponsors. Prizes will be awarded during the reception as well as an exciting silent auction.
